Colin got his helmet on Friday - we have been slowly increasing his hours wearing the helmet since then and it has not been going so well - he hates it - but I think he will get use to it soon - at least I hope - tonight is his first night sleeping with the helmet - so I hope it goes well - it has to be uncomfortable sleeping in a helmet. I did order some stickers for his helmet - my favorite one is "The Longer you Stare the Cuter I Get" John's favorite is "You should see the other guy".
As for me I started a diet - being home during the day is not good for my waistline at all - I was 138 when I gave birth to Colin and now I am 143 - which is not good - at the time of delivery I was 160 and pre pregnancy I was 128 - I would like to get back down to 128 or even 125 but dieting is hard - really hard. I just need to take better care of myself - like making a dentist appointment for a cleaning and getting my hair cut and colors and maybe even a pedicure. I just have to remember myself.
I am even debating going back to work part time - it would be nice to have some adult interaction again - even though I love being home with Colin and feel so blessed that I am able to do it - he does manage to fill up my days pretty easily - he is now eating a ton of baby foods and has six teeth - four on top and two on bottom - yes six teeth and he is six months old. Crazy - he is rolling all around too - from room to room - I am now trying to get him to sit up on his own and take his own bottle.
I have to say every time I think about it I am just so very happy to be a mom - I have never taken it for granted - it is such a blessing and he is just so amazing - truly amazing - and I love watching him learn and grow and I am so proud to be his mom.
John wants to go back and do a FET sooner rather than later - I think his clock is ticking - LOL - he is 36 years old and most of his friend have children that are older - but I honestly just want to enjoy Colin - I can honestly say at this point in time I would be happy with one and done but I guess we have to see what the future holds.
Colin is going to be a elephant for Halloween - I just ordered his costume - I cannot wait to celebrate all the holidays coming up with him.
