Med Picture

For a natural FET cycle I am taking alot of medicine - most of it is vitamins though -for my blood clotting disorder.

I go in tomorrow morning for my second check-up with bloodwork and ultrasound - I hope tomorrow they will be able to tell me exactly when my transfer will be next week.

Transfer is going to be next week - and some bedrest questions

I went in today for my first check-up with the RE and I am progressing quicker than I though I was - They said my transfer will be sometime next week - not the following week like I thought it would.  I handed over that very big check to them this morning and they want to see me back for a follow-up ultrasound on Sunday and then I guess we will have a better idea of a timeline next week.

This is concerning to me because - my godmother is dying - it is just a matter of time - they have done all they can do and I am worried if she passes I might miss her funeral because I will have to be on bedrest after the transfer.  I also have a banquet to attend next Friday and a Christening to attend next Sunday where my husband is going to be the godfather.  So a transfer does not really fit into my plans next week.  I guess it is the most important thing I should be focusing on right now though.

So this brings me to my bedrest questions.  If you did an IVF cycle or a FET cycle how long did you stay on bedrest after the ET??  How long did your RE require??  My RE only requires 24 hours but last time with my IVF I did 48 hours.  It is just that I may not be able to be on bedrest for too long but at the same time I do not want to mess this cycle up.

Started the Cycle

CD 1 was on Friday - so John picked up all of my medicine for the cycle.  I started the antibotic and baby aspirin on Saturday - I go in this Friday the 29th for my first ultrasound and bloodwork.  Then start using OPK's until I O.  Looking like the transfer could possibly be around May 9-12.  Now that it is becoming more real - I am starting to get really nervous - I am just so nervous about another miscarriage - I even thought of backing out of it - thinking I was not ready - my nerves are really bad right now and it is making my stomach all messed up again.  I am going to therapy and acupuncture this week to help try to calm my nerves.

I know everyone says it will be okay and not to think about it and only think positive - and while I try to do that - it is always in the back of my head what happened last time.

We had our first BBQ of the season on Saturday - it was great fun - I even had some wine - I am not a huge drinker at all - but I thought this may be my last chance to have some wine before I get knocked up : )

Here are some pictures of the BBQ:

Horseshoes
Loving my Hubby

I feel like everything seems to be moving in the right direction.  I am starting my new job in July with a huge raise and 5 extra holidays - which is so so wonderful and I am so grateful for that.  I have a lovely home, a husband who loves me, a great job, and wonderful family and friends - the only thing missing is a baby.  I feel like if everything is going to well then hopefully it will keep going well and this cycle will work.  But the negative in me is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Full Steam Ahead

I met with my RE yesterday afternoon and my FET is a go!!!!!  I am so excited and so nervous - I cannot believe this is finally happening.  I should be able to start as soon as AF gets here - which will be in a couple of days.  They already did all my bloodwork and and ordered all my meds.

Here is the breakdown of what will happen:

CD 1 - Call RE office - let them know it is CD 1
CD 3 - Baseline Ultrasound and Bloodwork
CD 5 - Start using OPK's
CD 9 or 10 - Ultrasound and Bloodwork
Continue using OPK's until O
Once O has occurred - call RE office
3 dpO begin Progrestone shots
5-7 dpO - Transfer
14dpt - Beta

I will be on PIO shots, Estradiol and Medrol.  If I get pregnant - the day of my positive beta I will start Lovenox injections.

Breakdown of Costs - for those that are interested - let me just say again - being OOP SUCKS.

Medication - $ 50.00 - they are pretty much covered - thank goodness - only have to pay the co-pays

FET - $ 3,250.00

Assist Hatching - $ 875.00 - I may or may not need this - I needed it last time for my IVF so I am including it in the costs.

So total cost OOP for one FET cycle - $ 4,175.00

RE Consult pushed back

I was suppose to have my consultation with my RE this Thursday to discuss my FET and set everything up - well sadly his father passed away so now it is pushed back to next Tuesday - which is the 19th - which would still give me enough time to get the okay from him and possibly proceed with treatment - starting at the end of April.  I hope it all works out.

In other news - things have worked out regarding the work siutation - as of July 1st I will be working with the new attorney - which I am happy about - I think it is going to be a good fit - I have already been working here part time for a year now - he already got me business cards and new desk organizers and I cleaned out all the drawers from the old secretary and organzied it the way I wanted and brought in my wedding picture and diploma, etc.  Now it really feels like my space and I am excited about that.

Things are going so well between John and I - he has listen to me and has been thoughtful and we really have been working well together.  It is hard trying to get his business off the ground but it is going to be so worth it.  I feel like everything in my life is moving in such a positive direction - I hope it continues.  The only thing missing now is a baby - to make us a family.

I could have my transfer by May 10th

That is if everything goes well.  I have my appointment with the RE on April 14th - I do have some questions and concerns about taking Lovenox and when it should be started in the cycle and I want him to get on board with my Hemologist.  I also want to know his thoughts on me taking Zoloft - I am only on 50 mg and I rather stay on it for my anxiety because I am sure it is going to be raised going through a cycle.  But he may want me to come off of it before cycling which could delay us for a month or two.  I also want to know if I need to change OB's to a High Risk OB.  But if he says it is okay then I want to start my FET cycle at the end of this month!!!!!

I decided to use OPK's this month just to make sure I was still ovulating and where my timeline is - well I got a positive yesterday - so if my next cycle is anything like this cycle then I could possibly have my transfer by May 10th and know by the end of May if I am pregnant or not.  There is still alot that is up in the air and my cycles have been a little crazy the past couple months - but I am so ready to be pregnant again!!!!

Weddings

We have been to two weddings in the past three weeks - it is always fun to get all dressed up.  Here are some pics.

A Planner with a Plan

I have decided to do what is right for me - and that is to lay low for awhile.  I confronted the new attorney yesterday and flat out asked him if I quit my current job if he would take me on full time and he said that he does not want to lose me but does not have the work for full time.

So it seems they are both playing games and I need to do what is right for me.  I have decided to move up my treatment to next month (if everything goes good at the follow-up appointment with the RE)  I cannot quit my job if I am doing a treatment - plus I need time off and vacation days that I have saved up, etc.

If I do get pregnant I am going to ask to quit the current job and work part time for the new attorney - I think that would work out best and if I do not get pregnant then I am going to start looking for something else - because I deserve to be treated better.

Work Siutation - Need Advice

As you probably all know my work siutation is crazy - I have been with one attorney now for almost 8 years - when we moved about 5 years ago - the VP of the company/bosses lover started coming into work drunk and it was a mess and still is.  About a year ago my boss was slowing down with work and was speaking to another attorney in the area that needed someone part time - so he basically pimped me out to his new attorney - the new attorney pays my boss and I just keep getting the same paycheck from my current boss.  First it was one day, then two days now I am working for this new attorney three days a week and only at my old job two days a week.  Anyway that is just some background.

Well the lease is up at my old attorney place in July - and about a month ago - he decided that I will work for the new attorney full time starting in July because the VP was not getting drunk anymore and can handle all the work on their own without me - which I loved because I love working for this new attorney and not having to deal with the drunk VP at the old office.  Well two weeks ago it was confirmed to me - so I started making my plans as far as treatment and vacation and such.  Are you following me so far - I know this gets confusing.

So last Wednesday I come into work at the old attorneys office and notice that the VP was drunk - apparently he had been drunk all week so far - and my old boss told me that he was looking at new offices which would include me - which I found to be strange - then he said he thinks he will keep the schedule the same (so instead of going to the new attorneys office full time in July - I would continue with the schedule of working for the new attorney 3 days a week and the old attorney 2 days a week) which I was not happy about - I want to get away from the toxic work situation.

So I confronted the new attorney and he said he did not hear anything about this change and to talk to the old attorney - so on Friday I said down with the old attorney and said that I thought the full time deal was set in stone - and he precedes to tell me that nothing is set in stone - and I said maybe I should look for another job because I need stability and he said oh no no - you will have a job either way and not to worry - I told him I was worried and wanted to know what was going to happen in July and he said he could not tell me because he does not know himself yet.

Basically I am an insurance policy to him - if the VP gets drunk then I can pick up the workload.  If the VP had never started to get drunk again - the work schedule and switch over would never of changed.  So I told the old attorney - I cannot have a work schedule based on a drunk (not in those words of course) and he basically blew me off.

So to the point where I need advice - what should I do.  The new attorney said he would take me full time - he rather have me full time then lose me - but I honestly do not think he has enough work for me full time and I feel like I am putting him in a bad position - also it might ruin the professional relationship the two attorneys have.

I really want to get out of the horrible situation at the first office and I really like working for the new attorney but I just do not know how to go about doing this.  The new attorney suggested today that I say to the old attorney that I am going to start looking for something full time and then in about a month - just say the new attorney offered me full time so it does not look like I just left the old attorney for the new one.

I just do not know what to do - I have gotten myself in such a mess.  If you have read this far - thank you and any advice or what you would do if you were in this crazy situation would be much appreciated.
