Croup

My little guy got his first fever ever on Friday and we ended up in the er last night.

On Friday he was not acting like himself and then around 4 pm I noticed he has a fever - so I gave him some Tylenol and put him down for a nap - when he woke up his left eye was puffy and pink - so I called the on call pedi and they said just to keep an eye on it and call back if it gets worse.  His fever went down and his eye went down so I put him to bed for the night.

On Saturday morning he woke up with the fever - running nose and bad cough.  I gave him Tylenol again and again called the pedi - they said they will not see him until he has a fever for 4 days - so on Monday.  They said they wanted to wait and see if it just works itself out.  I was pissed but I got it - there was really nothing they could do.

As the day went on his fever never went down - and his cough got worse.  By 9 pm I took his temp and it was 103 and so I decided to call the on-call pedi and they said to take him to the er.  So we did - and he ended up having croup - they gave him steriods to help him.  They said it is going to get worse before it gets better.  We were sent home.

He was up most of the night last night.  I feel so bad for my little guy.

Christmas 2012

Hello Blogger Friends,  Happy New Year.  I cannot believe another year has gone by and it is already less than a month until my baby boy's first birthday - how did that happen.  2012 was such a wonderful year for me - I finally got my miracle and he was so worth the wait - cannot wait to see what 2013 holds for our family.

I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas had a very Merry Christmas - we sure did - I always said Christmas is for children and what fun it is at Christmastime when you have a child.

As you can see when we brought Colin downstairs on Christmas morning he when right for the gifts.

He was very into opening his gifts - I think he just liked the paper and box to push around not so much what was inside.

His favorite tou was the Learn and Play Puppy.

Here we are opening the present that he got me.  It was so cute - John sent me a text message with a picture of Colin and Santa and it said - Santa I do not need anything for Christmas because I have the best mommy in the world - lets get her something really nice and hide it in my crib.  Once I got the text message I went up to his crib and there was a present for me - from Colin - so cute.

Colin got me an Ipad - he is a good gift giver already : )

Colin with his dad.

All dressed up on Christmas eve.  He hated the hat and was basically yelling at me in this picture - ha!

Here he is all dressed up on Christmas day - my neighbors say I think he is a doll.

Our family of three - how very blessed we are!!!
