Paint Color Help

So this is a picture of my bedding and accessories for Colin's nursery.

I need paint color help - I do not know what color to paint the room.  I was liking the light blue that is on the elephants ear in the bedding - but John is liking the green - I think the green is too bight.  It is a small room with cherry furniture.  The floors are hardwood with a dark tan rug and dark tan shades for the windows.  Any suggestions - you can go to the nursery tab on my blog to see what the nursery currently looks like - it is painted a light green now.  John was even thinking of doing the one main wall one color and then the other walls another color - but I just do not know what will look right.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you.

I like the blue in the pic. If hubs wants green though, I'd go with something lighter than in the picture.

I actually like the idea of one wall being green (maybe a lighter green) and then the other walls blue. Or what about blue walls with a thick green stripe around the middle? Something fancy like that? :)

I kind of like the light green that is there now. I like green better than blue, and a lighter one rather than the bright. I think depending on the lighting a lighter green would look a bit darker or brighter anyway. T's room is a light green and depending on the time of day and what lights are on it looks pale to a bit brighter. But we do have a blue ceiling with white clouds since we went with an animal theme, so maybe that changes the way the room colors look. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I am on a total teal kick right now so I vote the light teal. Def if you do the green needs to be lighter than that blanket green. Just remember that the colors don't have to match exactly to the blanket, they just need to be in the same family (like match the color on the color strip and you can go lighter or darker).

I like the blue!!! If i did green I would so something lighter and brigher. I've used DILL PICKLE by benjamin moore in a couple houses and love it. Might look nice without being too matchy.

I say put up a chair rail and paint the bottom green and the top light blue! And holy smokes I *LOVE* that bedding, probably in my top 3 that I've ever seen!

Oh and by green I mean the lime green onthe back of the blanket, and by light blue I mean a shade or two lighter than the elephants ear. Once it's on the wall it will look like the same color. If you do an exact match it will likely seem darker (depends on lighting of course, but I have painted a LOT of homes, and that is the case most of the time)

I would not do a dark color, neither green or blue. I would do a beige/tan wall, like the background on the comforter and on one wall I would add stripes (on the slanted wall) with the accent colors. I put it as my profile picture to get the idea.
