Exercise Goals

I am determined now. I am not really much of an exercise person because I was alway so skinny. Like under 100 pounds skinny - then I quit smoking and gained 20 pounds. Then IF kicked me in the gut and I gained over 20 more pounds. As of my last IUI I weight 143 pounds. Which is very big for me who use to only be 100 pounds. That evil Clomid did not help and of course after every BFN I had to have a huge thing of ice cream to make me feel better which did not help the situation.

Anyway - I wanted to lose weight - my last IUI was in Feb - since then I have dropped about 10 pounds. That was pretty easy actually - I just stopped eating junk like ice cream and started working out. But I hate working out and I only did it when I felt like it - which is not good. I would work out once in one week and three times in another. Then none at all the next week.

But I have decided that since I cannot be pregnant I want to be pretty. I want to be the weight that I was when I got married - which was 123 pounds. So I started the 30 day shred - I have done it before - but never stuck with it every single day. Today I am on day 3 and I am so sore. I am wondering if this is normal and if I should continue. I am sore but I can still walk and stuff. If anyone has done the 30 day shred please let me know what your experience was with it.

I also am trying to step up my game when it comes to eating. No more junk - easier said than done - I am a big junk food eater. But I am making healthy dinners every night and snacking on fruits instead of cookies - I am also bringing my lunch to work - lean cuisines. I am not going to strave myself because I love good way to much - I am just going to try and make better decisions.

Now this only started 3 days ago - so far so good - but that is easy to day on day 3. I hope I can keep it up. I did get on the scale on Monday at the start of this and it said 136 pounds. I am not going to get on the scale again until the end of the 30 days.

I have been shredding for a few weeks now. When I first started Level 1, I thought I was going to die. The next day at work I was waddling around because my quads and calves were so sore. The next day was even worse. By day 3 or 4, I was definitely less sore.

I am currently working my way through Level 2. I didn't get more sore with the level change, but I am DEFINITELY working harder- more sweaty/harder to breathe, etc.

I haven't really noticed a weight loss, though I am definitely seeing more definition in my arms and legs.

Good Luck!!

I feel the same way, if I can't be pregnant, at least I'm going to look GOOD! I'm not as lucky as you, I'm actually trying to GET to 138. I'm sort of stuck at 147 right now...but I'm trying to shred it away. I agree with the PP, I'm seeing more definition then weight loss and I'm 2 weeks into it...but that's just my body. Good luck to you!

We can be shred buddies :o)

P.S.- I was always a skinny girl too, now I weigh 142 lbs. I am determined to lose it!

Yes, it's fairly normal. I was doing it every other day for the first 5 days. Seriously, by day 8 you will feel AWESOME! It will be sooo much easier! Keep it up -- it's such an accomplishment :)

Found you through TTTC board. You completely described me. I remember being 24 and dancing around that I finally hit 100lbs!! Well, unfortunately going through IF, I have packed on pounds. Now weigh 137. Going for first IUI (possibly) next month. We are dealing with MFI as well. Good Luck!!!!
