I have been trying to change my diet - to be more healthy and get my body ready for IVF. I have cut our alot of sweets and I am eating more fruit and I have cut our caffeine (except for a half a cup of coffee in the morning - which I am trying to wean myself off of) and I am drinking alot more water and juice - I have not had ice tea in over a week - which is huge for me because I love and miss my green tea. Anyway I think it is having a serious effect on my bowels. I have not had the best tract record when it comes to my bowels - but it has been pretty bad for about a week. I am so bloated that I finally broke down and took Colace last night - well actually when I got home from work around 4:30 pm - well it has not worked yet. I wonder how long it takes to work - I need some relief. I was also thinking about doing a colon cleanse prior to IVF - if anyone has any experience with this please message me. I would love to hear about it. Oh and they IVF nurse said that alot of the medication I will be taking causes constipation - great - just what I need.
As far as the bladder training goes I am doing pretty good - I have moved from going every single hour (which by the way is hard to do - espeically if you are busy at work) to every hour and a half - it is working pretty well. Hard at times to hold it - but so far so good. I will move up to every two hours next week.

The best colon cleanse that i have found is on motworld.com (click on the shopping cart and scroll down to Flush Out & Colon Rebuilder) I take 2 at night and then the next day I am going to the bathroom, they recommend doing 7 days but I can only do 2 or 3 days in a row before I am empty. But I am a little more regular than you it sounds. I just did 2 days and lost 2lbs!!! I feel so good right now. I am sure there are others that are in the store but this one is gentle and all natural (which is why I like it!) Good luck!

You could ask your RE to switch you to a PreNatal Vitamin with a softner in it. I am on PreNate Elite DHA and it is awesome for that very reason. Good Luck!!!
I have bladder issues, too. I completely understand the going every hour or two issue! *sigh*(((HUGS))) Hope you get some relief ASAP!
I know exactly how you feel!!!! I started dieting a couple weeks ago to try and lose weight I have been extremely constipated since then. I thought it would be the opposite since I increased my fiber intake but I think it may be the fruit. It hasn't corrected itself in the past few weeks so if you figure something let me know!!
drinking more water and eating better generally makes me feel less bloated :( hmmmm....
i'm so proud of you with the bladder training. i know that's not easy :)

I never had this problem when I started dieting, but the prenatals always give me massive constipation. Instead of taking those, the nurse has me taking a flinstone plus extra folic acid daily. If they won't let you do that, I would also try the pnvs with the stool softener in it.
My go to food for getting things moving is a fiber one bar. I think they are somewhere around 100 calories and have more fiber in them than the pills you can take do.
It sounds like you are doing great as far as the bladder training goes!
